Set in it's own garden grounds on a dairy farm, Amisfield's traditional location outdoors and it's opulent furnishings indoors offers you the essentials of modern living in an idyllic rural setting, overlooking the Killantrae Dairy Herd, the Bog house Beef Herd and with views of the sea and the Isle of Man

The Accommodation
Recently refurbished to a very high standard, the self-catering accommodation includes a large lounge with open fire, dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, a sun room, double en suite bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms, separate shower and a family bathroom. Outside, a large patio stages garden furniture and a barbecue. There is a children's play area and a grass area. The garden shed houses a few bicycles, which are provided for your use free of charge.
Disability- Friendly
At Amisfield there is plenty of parking space, right in front of the cottage, and disabled access. Other disabled facilities include wheelchair user friendly electrics and for the hard of hearing we have 'bed shaking' devices linked to the fire alarm system.
The Machars Area
Two miles from the village of Port William, set on a cycle route, Amisfield invites you to enjoy a healthier, more natural pace of life. The cottage is also close to Wigtown, Scotland's National Book Town, and Whithorn, the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland.

It provides an ideal base for either staying put, venturing out to explore the beautiful Machars area, or for visiting places of interest throughout Dumfries & Galloway region for a complete day out. Amisfield has been designed to help take the stress out of traveling with a family, so that all you have to organise are your suitcases!
Pets
We are sorry but we don't allow pets indoors, but well- behaved dogs can be housed in the garden shed.
Non-Smoking
As members of The Machars Healthy Living Project, we have chosen not to allow smoking in the house.
